I like to welcome new members to LumberJocks. I enjoy reading what they have to say. In the three days that this site has been reopened to new members there has been over 800 new members. This is great, but I find that I am spending more time welcoming new members and less time checking on what is going on with everything else on LumberJocks. So, I have to back off because I cannot keep up with all of the new members. I now only welcome those that post one of the following: a photo, where they live, or a comment. So, jump in guys, and gals, and give them a welcome.

I suspected that was why I can’t keep up with the projects. Demand has really been pent up, eh?

It’s nice to know that things are rolling along once again. I guess Martin must of greased up some bearings. :)

Yeah, but if you look at some of those new memebers you’ll see why Martin limited new members in the first place.

Where do you go to see who joins everyday? Could you elaborate because I’m in the dark. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been pretty much snowed under at the plant because of breakdowns; it’s been hard for me to come on here and do much of anything except comment on a few projects. I stayed logged in at the plant all day but just have time to check in here and there.

Can someone enlighten me and tell me what’s wrong with the new members?

All I see is that they are eager to post projects.

I must have missed something.

Lanwater, the only thing wrong that I saw, was one member that was actually just an ad for a male enhancement product. Other than that, they were just a bunch of woodworkers at different skill levels, just like everyone else here. The reason Martin limited members was because of the few that chose to post all the porn because the coffee lounge was removed and I don’t see anything like that now, so I don’t know what Jeff was referring to.

Oops. I just finished reading the thread titled “spam” and now I believe I know what Jeff was talking about. I didn’t get the PMs that some members got.
