Cross cutting table legs that are 1-3/4×1-3/4. Bosch SCM with an 80 tooth blade. Getting tear out from fibers on back side. Should I use a backer board or is this just common with mesquite.

I use a Tenryu, 80 tooth miter saw blade on my Bosch SCMS and get no tear out in mesquite.
However, a backer would probably help. A ZCI might be beneficial, too.
