Does anyone have a good recommendation on a location to pick out really clean southern yellow pine near Birmingham, AL? I really want to avoid going to the big box stores. I called 84 lumber, but they won’t let you look through the wood to pick out boards. I am looking for 2”x8” or 2”x10” boards probably around 8’-10’ long to build a new solid workbench. Thanks

That could be difficult outside of a bigbox. I searched through boards at HD to get mine for a workbench. Hope you can find what you want.

Avoiding the big box stores is smart, if it’s opposite day.

They have what you want.

How far from Birmingham? There’s a really nice lumber yard up here in Decatur (I live in Huntsville).

Have your say...
