Topic tags/keywords: planer knives

I was given a Delta 22-540 bench top planer (by a very generous friend) that is in need of new knives. I am very anxious to get this up and running in my shop, but I was advised that this is a less than straightforward operation. Could anyone provide wise counsel? Thanks!

Here's the owner's manual. Instructions for changing blades are on page 11. Looks fairly straight-forward. Good luck!

Thanks, Peter! I hope it’s as easy as it looks in the manual. By the way, I checked out your profile—you make beautiful stuff!

Wow, where you find just the English version? Usually there’s a Spanish, maybe a French version and two or three others. I have a hard enough time just reading the Englsih one.
