william, it just has to be made by you..doesnt matter if it came from a set of plans…and if you think its got enough joinery to be considered, then by all means enter it…thats my 2 cents worth….

Hi, William;
I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to enter the contest with your beautiful chandelier. Most people work from plans and I don’t think that LJ’s would make the contest subject to such strict limits. I would think that it would be perfectly acceptable for you to enter it. As you said, there are many different and unusual ways that it is put together and I think the purpose of the contest is so we can see all the different types of joinery and perhaps expand our own woodworking by being exposed to them. I think it is an excellent example of what they are looking for.

You could always PM Martin and ask just to be sure, but I would think it would be OK. I hope it is! I would love to see you enter the contest! Good luck!
