I am visiting in Riverside, California for a few months and I need to find a wood source. A fifty (50) mile radius is my target but will settle. Primary use will be for the scroll saw (Intarsia, scroll work).

Not as cold as Missouri but I miss the open spaces of my farm. Happy belated NEW YEAR.

You might want to go down to Carlsbad if you’re into exotics:

Answer Wood Products in Rancho Cucamonga has some very nice wood. They are a bit hard to find so call and get directions.

Call Rob at tule peak timber.... He is a local sawer and has a big variety of local woods. his operation is totally green and will blow you away. He is in So. Riverside Co. and may be a tad bit farther of a drive than what you want but well worth it. Tell him Eric sent you.

My first call would be Rob as mentioned above Tule Peak Lumber. Best prices and he has a amazing amount of different kinds of wood. He is 1/2 the price of stores. Ask him about the Oak from Mount Polamar. I’m making a cabinet and the raised panel doors out of this are amazing. I can’t wait to post it.

You may also want to look up Reel Lumber, it’s in Riverside.
