Bob

I no longer trust them.

story: Had a bad experiance with a return item…got the run around….they said they credited the money and just wait ??one month to see it on my Visa…than they said they sent it to amazon and they where holding it up….Thank God for amazon they put the pressure on them and I have my money back in less than a day.

I buy alot on the internet and all seems well untill the return policy is used so watch out for this one

Back story: I was buying a grizzley band saw on amazon with the extention kit …it pops up with most people that buy this set up buy these blades so I went for it….well the blades where the wrong size as you need longer blades if you have the extension on….whose mistake is that ,I say them but I did not want to argue that one so I did not ask for a refund of the postage both way . I ate that.

You know if they called or email me today and sad they where sorry I would still order from them. But no they just stuck their head in the sand.

Bob

Sad to hear….I will definitely keep an eye out for other bad reviews….

Stupid of them to fall down on customer support when they spend a fortune on advertising. You would think they could understand that a few bad reviews on boards like this will kill months…even years of running expensive adds and lots of previous customer goodwill….When I consult with business owners it is one of the main issues I cover….A business is always viewed by it’s most recent customer’s satisfaction or dissatisfaction…it would certainly be better to pick up a few dollars freight…or have a support person do a follow up call then to allow the impact that negative feedback will cause from poor service. You can’t please everyone…but a smart business will still try their best.

Good experience- tell one; bad experience- tell everyone. I make it a point to complement restaurant people as all they get is the bad or no one says if there is a problem. They just walk out and complain to everyone but the ones who can correct the porblem. Thanks for the heads-up.

looks like they must read lumberjocks…

from them

Notes: We’re truly sorry the ball got dropped on this return. We’ve taken internal measures to make sure this mistake is not repeated in the future. Thank you!

I have bought several items from Hartville Tools and have only had good experiences. Hartville gives a discount to members of established woodworking/woodturning clubs. Then at the end of each year Hartville sends my club a check based on the amount of money our club members spent. I buy from Hartville whenever I can. Just my two cents. pkennedy

wow, they were the first to sell me tools about six years ago. I returned some stuff and everything was fine, it’s tough to hear a story about a place where u had a good experience. Sorry to hear about what happened.

Bob:

Amazon’s bot is simply telling you that most people who ordered the Grizzly BS ordered these blades. It is not factoring in that you also ordered the extension so that is why it showed the 93 1/2 blades and not the 105 blades. But in the end you ordered the 93 1/2 blades and they sent them to you. Your mistake is understandable but it is YOUR mistake. Not Amazon’s. That is why they did not refund your shipping. I have returned items to Amazon before with no issue and received the shipping charges as well because they either sent me the wrong item or something was wrong with the item.

As far as Hartville is concerned, I have nothing but great experiences with them. Perhaps CessnaPilotBarry is right and your issue may be with Amazon. If the issue is with Hartville, this is the first time I have heard of any problems with them. But any company can drop the ball. I would call them, not email them. Ask to talk with Jason. He is the VP there. I can almost guarantee he will make it right for you. Don’t right them off. They are good people. Good luck!

Please don’t shoot the messenger. I am glad that some of you have posted your good things about the company i was sure that you would.

I have gotten two emails from them explaining how they messed up and they even added an addition credit for the shipping WHICH I NEVER ASKED FOR and was not their fault.

Was it my fault for the wrong size of the band saw blade??? Well i am not a pro on band saws and will probably never buy one again….i think most woodworkers are like me…I put the blame on the wrong size on amazon they are the ones with pryor sales of the saw and they know I dont have the manual..but now that i know that and if you make the mistake i can say what a dummy.

Best,

Bob
Funny thing was it didnt dawn on me untill i was trying to stretch the blade
