Hi everyone,

Can any of the Canadian woodworkers living in or around the GTA / Hamilton region recommend a good, affordable, supplier of rough cut lumber?

I recently purchase a jointer & planer partially in the hopes of saving some money in the long run on lumber. But the few places I’ve found that sell rough cut have been surprisingly expensive. One place in Burlington the math was only a fraction cheaper. When I factored in the extra time it would take to mill it I’m not really saving anything. I’m new to woodworking so I don’t know if this is normal or if I’m looking at the wrong suppliers. I’m happy to drive a little if it means saving some money.

Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Unfortunately there are no trees in Canada. Mail by mail from U.S.?
