I haven’t used one, and I’m far from an HF hater, but high quality blades take such precision to sharpen well, I can’t imagine an inexperienced operating doing justice to a decent blade with this tool. Most sharpeners have tens of thousands of dollars into their equipment. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |

Knot: While I was contemplating buying one I think I’ll pass. I read the reviews on HF’s website and most guys didn’t think much of it. Not enough precision and not a fine enough surface grind. Don’t really see me putting a $75+ blade on it. -- Life is good. |

I agree with knotscott, I looked at it at the HF store, went home and took my blades to the sharpening center in Phoenix. I got the grand tour and the place is full of very expensive computer cutting equipment. The blades were better then new when I picked them up. Took about 5 days to sharpen them as they were back logged. They also sharpen router bits & shaper cutters. -- TheOldTimer,Chandler Arizona |
