Just got my notice that my order has been cancelled due to (Out of Stock). The lady I talked said that they would honor the sale price IF it came back in stock within 30 days of date order was placed. Looks like HD will not have any stock until 1st of February just past the 30 days. Surprise Surprise the big box at work again. Their Customer Service is just a short name for NO customer service. Thank goods we now have a Menards in the same town as HD so I do not have to spend my money in HD.

Building a Lowes right next door to HD where I live… should give them some grief….

I paid for my sharpener up front with a gift card, then they cancelled.. so they are trying to figure out how to credit me back…

Cecil is not a common name… there are 3 in my family.. my Father, brother & cousin…

Just received my order cancellation as well. Go figure. They probably figured out that someone screwed up in posting a sale price.

I wonder if this would fall into the “bait and switch” sales trick, a practice that is, I believe, illegal!

Guess I’ll go to Harbor Freight and get me a new dust collector.

HD in Canada gave me enough grief I wont shop there unless stuck.. this was such a good deal I had to get back in the pool… now HD in the US has done the same.. North American ban..LOL

I persisted a little and asked them to explain “back order”. They said it could no longer be back ordered because they will not be getting anymore in. Did not mention anything about the 30 days, just said it would not be stocked at all in the future. Should be interesting to see what they will really do.

I wonder what would happen if their corporate was pointed at these forum posts and the thought of a class action suit for “bait and switch”?

I tried three times to order the Worksharp, took me thru all the steps including credit card info and then presto it disappeared from my shopping cart. Don’t think I’ll go back to HD, there’s a Lowe’s close by.

I just got notice that my confirmed order was canceled with no explanation. I though it was too good to be true, every time I hear of one of these great sales at HD I’m always too late or out of stock. I’m begining to smell a rat.
