So, while driving back home this weekend from Christmas vacation we stopped at a Denny’s for a late dinner. Meredith ordered a club sandwich and I order the Lumberjack Slam, or so I thought. As I was wondering why the waitress looked at me funny when I placed my order, Meredith informed me that I had order a LumberJock Slam… I guess you can tell what was on my mind. I didn’t even realize I had said LumberJock instead of lumberjack, it just came out. We both found it pretty amusing.

This made me stop and think about how great this site is and how much it has helped me through this first year.

Between the friends I met, the questions you’ve answered, and the inspiration from seeing everyone’s projects, I don’t know if I would be where I am today.

Thank you Martin for a great site, and thank you everyone else for all the help and inspiration!

-- David

A few of the spirited discussions on here could be referred to as a “Lumberjock Slam”

Too funny Brad…

I too have found this site to be almost addictive.. but have to admire the talent of so many people out there..
I always talk about the stuff I see on here with a very good friend of mine, and he was actually the mentor that got me hooked on woodworking, and now he has asked me for the link.. so we should see him in here soon.

Awesome site, and great people, fantastic projects and information.. what could be better?
