After having my Powermatic cabinet saw in the basement for the last 12 years with a 52” Biesemeyer fence on it, I have come to the realization that, since its a basement shop, and I pre cut all my sheet goods in the garage, that I simply don’t need a fence that long and I could use more space in the shop.
I would really like to find someone to trade the rails with because I really hate the thought of cutting these beautiful white steel rails and tube, and selling means I’d have to buy new ones.

Anyone had this problem before?

I think 30” or 36” would be a good length.

Sparky, there will come a time when you are going to need that 52” fence, even though you think you won’t…... Jerry (in Tucson)

LOL, well that would be a bit of a drive to swap out or do a show and tell. I have a 30” that in my upgrade with dual table saws bolted together a 50” + fence would be a nice add on.

I’m 40 miles south of Chicago and have a 30” Incra fence that I don’t like too much. Apparently other people love them but I don’t. I’d happily trade it for a Biesemeyer if you’re interested in driving over. My schedule is packed too tight with road trips and projects for me to get to Aurora anytime soon. PM me if interested.

You can always just go to a local metal supplier and buy a new tube and rails… there is nothing really special about them. Only thing you would need to do is drill some holes, paint if desired, and add the measuring tape. Plus, you can make them any size you want, and not be limited to the ‘stock’ sizes available from Biesemeyer.

Cheers,
Brad
