Topic tags/keywords: nautilus shells shaping

Ok, I love the nautilus shells I see, been trying to do them.
my segments don’t come close to fitting togather. I do them as I
see them on the videos. Are they not telling the whole story? What
could I be doing wrong.

To get the sections to meet you have to have the adjoining surfaces absolutely flat. I use either a 3/4 ” melamine board covered with sandpaper and a circular motion for both surfaces, OR carefully hold them against a disc sander wheel with 150 grit paper. You can do it.
