Topic tags/keywords: tip tool work sharp 3000

The website is NOW accepting backorders! Merry Christmas.

I couldn’t sleep well tonight, and lo and behold I had a letter in my inbox from customer service. Of course, it didn’t say a thing about this new development… only that I might check the website time and again. Well, I did just that and wham. The price I quoted was with shipping

God Bless.

I just ordered one and it came out with the $62.25 price (plus tax, shipping) – total $75.53.
It is backordered but will ship when it comes in… that should be interesting.
Thanks for the heads up Brandon.

Excellent Job Brandon, I ordered one also and I think was able to cancel my previous order of the 2000 that I placed on Friday. They said the order was in the warehouse and she sent an urgent “Halt” on it. She couldn’t guarantee it could be halted but I can send it back if it doesn’t get cancelled. I was impressed with Home Depot’s service!! I don’t say that very often… Maybe it’s a beginning of a new trend.

Thanks!!

Great stuff – just pulled the trigger as well. Man, these unexpected “deals” that pop up now and again probably take a bigger bite out of the wallet than the planned purchases!

Just got one too!...been watching since I saw the original post. I almost bought this two months ago, but bought the Veritas honing guide and some sand paper instead. That went well, but it will be nice to have a powered machine to do some of the dirty work!!

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one as well. I have a 2000 which I find to be utterly limited and this is less than what I paid for it.

I ordered one also….I am a waterstone guy, but this is a really good deal, so I am going to give it a shot. With such a low investment, this is hard to pass up. Now let’s see how long it takes to receive it!

I’m still skeptical that I’ll ever see it, but I just placed my order.

Thanks! Just ordered the 3000 and we get a 5% kick back from our bank. Hopefully this is for real and they are able to ship them soon. We should use this thread or start a new one if folks start receiving theirs.

thanks for the heads up – i just ordered the 3000 too (Praki – thanks for the tip on avoiding the 2000). thus far I’ve been a scary sharp user, so we’ll see how this goes. The reviews have been nearly unanimously 5-star, so it’s hard to argue with results.

Just bought one, $75.90 total.
I really did not needed to spend more money but the offer is just too good.
