Lie Nielsen No. 9 Iron Miter Plane: in excellent condition, shows little if any signs of use, some minor spotting from storage. This is the earlier model with the cherry side handle and the (somewhat) sought after W-1 iron which was used on their earlier planes (similar to O-1). Includes original box. This plane has become a collectors item since they discontinued it and replaced it with the R/L 51 shoot board plane. SOLD

That is one homely design.

Not speaking to its value, just the aesthetics.

Beautiful plane.

I am partial to all things Lie Nielsen so I have to agree with Smitty on this one.

I’m fortunate to have a Stanley original, and LN did their version just right. Great user, too.

I’m a big fan of most Lie Nielsen’s products as well. Not blindly, however. I’m sure its very well made.

The bad thing about the miter planes: LN was collecting orders to do a run of 9s a couple months ago. At least that is what the email said.
