Topic tags/keywords: unisaw

I was looking through this site today and thought somebody out there may be interested.

It is old and needs some TLC, but it is also ridiculously cheap right now.

I don’t know if I’d call it rediculously cheap, if it’s 3 phase, a new single phase motor will cost you almost as much as the saw, the description of the saw and it’s condition are very minimal, and they won’t let you inspect it. Looks like a big gamble to me.

Thats a really strange auction, first they open it for bids on the internet for a couple days, then when thats done they have a local auction you physically have to be at ? I seen it went for $475 on the internet auction, but the local auction took it for $550 the next day.

That is the way most Purple Wave Auctions work. They are really mostly local auctions, but you have a chance to pre-bid online. I have bought a few things from them both online and in person. You never know what the online bidder has set as their max bid. It is anyones guess as to wether the online bidder will win or the in person bidder.

$550 is not that good of deal. I was simply posting it when it was at $100 to see if anyone would be interested.

I’m not impressed with Purple Wave if thats the way they do business.
