I’m having a lot of fun. I’m in my shop woodcarving next to my heater and watching the snow come down through the window. Every now and then I sip on a nice cold beer and eat a sausage and cheese ball. Every now and then my wife sticks her head in the shop and says, “It’s snowing, daddy” just like a little girl. I also come in often to see what you guys are up to. It’s a wonderful life and I’m a happy man. :)

I hope that all of you wonderful guys are having as good a Christmas as I am. This is the first Christmas in 37 years that our kids haven’t been with us and we miss ‘em but we are making the most of it. :)

I’m sure your children are missing you too. Glad you are enjoying your day. My boys have the living room destroyed with new things scattered here and there. A controlled chaos at best but enjoying every minute of it.

Nice that you have this time together to have the inner children come out to play.
This year my youngest son Justin & his fiancée Jennie are spending Christmas with us.
First Christmas I’ve been with him in 30 years.

I look forward to see what you are carving.
It sounds like a sweet quiet time, a tme for thoughts and for remembering.
Memory are not so bad, since we usually remember with a sertain glow, and we have the time to forgive and forget then.
Life is a rythem slowly passing, and it is in the braks the big melody grow.

Thanks. Mads. I’m not much of a woodcarver because I never had time to learn but I sure do enjoy it from time to time. Maybe now I can learn. Some people say that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. I say why not – you’re never too old to learn new tricks – even if you are a helluvawreck. ;)
