Hey guys,

Due to space and time constraints I am selling my partially restored powermatic 45 and Minimax T3 shaper. The lathe is disassembled and some parts are stripped and ready for primer. Although most of the bearings were okay I had planned on replacing them. This lathe is a mechanically adjusted variable speed machine, using what is referred to as a “Reeves” drive. These are great machines and I wish I could finish the restoration, but I just don’t have the time. Some pictures show the base, lathe bed, headstock, and variable speed parts.

The shaper is a 3/4” spindle SCMI/Minimax T3 and operates on 230 V single phase power. The machine is VERY solid and runs beautifully. Perhaps it’s most desirable feature is its sliding tenoning table. I do not have any of the cutters for sale with the machine. The photos are not of the actual machine as mine is mostly disassembled and being stored at the moment. However, the photos are nearly identical to the condition of my machine.

I’m looking to get $450 for the lathe and $950 for the shaper, but I am open to offers and
/or package deals. I’m located in the Northern VA area. Thanks

Doug
