Work Sharp 2000 and 3000’s on sale on Home Depot website. Not available in stores.

2000 for $32.25 and 3000 for $62.25. The 3000’s are out of stock, but I was told they are showing as being back in stock within 2 weeks. Don’t know how long the sale goes on though… Great Price!

That’s a steal. I think I paid $199 for my 3000. To bad they are out of stock. It would be nice if they carried WS accessories in the stores.

They are both out of stock. I called and they said they did not know when they would be back in stock, but the sale ends on the 5th. I questioned how someting could be on sale for two weeks and be out of stock on the second day of the sale. I was told that when sales are set they do not even verify the quanity on hand. Sort of one hand does not know what the other is doing.

I don’t buy from HD online and just prefer to go to the store, but this is the second time in a short period of time that I tried to get a sale item on line and it was quickly out of stock. Seems like a poor system to me and quite disappointing.

I ordered one after reading the OP and it seems to be confirmed. Order status says “routed”.

No and Yes!

I asked why I could not just place my order and they ship it when it is back in stock. If it is listed out of stock you cannot order it. I asked why they did not issue a raincheck especially so early in the sale. Not the policy.
I told them it was disappointing and they said they were sorry.

I tried ordering just 20 minutes after the first post. Story of my life, day late and dollar short.

At this price, it is either a mistake or else they are discontinuing them and dumping their inventory. I can’t believe they would be getting in fresh stock to sell at those prices.

I hesitated and lost.

Had it in the cart, good to go, took a break, and it was out of stock before I completed checkout.

Oh well.

I ordered one of the 2000s (3000s were out of stock) after seeing the OP. My order also say “Routed”. Thanks iamwelty, for the heads-up.

Well, I’ve never heard anyone say that the marketing people at Home Depot are geniuses. Says the owner of a Ridgid R4511 Table Saw and a Ridgid Jointer that were both “clearanced out” at stupidly low prices… Duh! They seem to be borderline clueless.

I had an issue with another sale item at HD last year. They advertised a Delta sander for 50% of the regular price, and the day the sale started I was at the door when they opened, and was told they were sold out. I said how could you be sold out when the store just opened, and the sale started today? Got a lot of dumb looks, but the manager said they order a certain amount and put them on sale, but not all stores get them. Only the chosen few.. not sure how they could do this with on line?
HD stands for “Helping Disappoint” in my world.

They are building a Lowes right next door to Home Depot where I live.. it should make things interesting.

Dear computer experts among us,

Can you set up a bot to alert us early about these kinds of sales?

You can go onto www.homedepot.com and register to get emails directly from HD. I did after seeing this one.

It is under the heading of:

Promotions
Yes, I’d like to receive emails about unadvertised & online only specials, new products and store promotions.
