I have a bosch 4100 portable table saw and tried to no avail to get the fence to line up parallel to the blade or the miter slot without having to tilt and hold it to the left when clamping it down. I checked out several demo saws at the store and to the naked eye they seemed to be dead on. After finally giving up trying to adjust the fence, I decided to just live with the problem. After investing in a thin Kerf Forrest Woodworker II blade and not getting the good cuts I was expecting due to pinching between the splitter and the fence, I decided to once again focus on the issue.
I read from another user with the same saw that they had the same problem and it was solved with a new fence. I called up Bosch and told them I would like to try that rather than haul the entire thing into a service center as was originally offered when I opened a case via email. In less than a 5 minute phone call including hold time, I have a new fence being sent to me. What a pleasurable experience. I will definitely continue to buy Bosch tools in the future as their customer service rivals the same as I’ve come to expect with Milwaukee Tools.
Did I just get lucky or have other people had decent experiences with Bosch customer service?
