Sawed for 4 hours at 93° and sunny. Took a few personal notes that I thought I would share.

1. It took this many bottles of water and I am still thirsty.

2. It takes more gas and patience to saw at 93°. I ran out of both.

3. Disconnect the electricity before grabbing bandsaw blade that’s leaning against it. Note to brother, your fence works.

4. New bandsaw blades are sharp. This was not a new lesson, but an affirmation of a previous lesson.

5. The dog in this picture was probably smarter than me

Hope you all have gained from this experience.

Glad it wasn’t beer you were drinking. You wouldn’t know where you were at. Or did you share with the dog. Be careful out there.

Monte,

They say wisdom is wasted on the old? These days I have soooo much to do that when it gets this hot I go to work on projects in the cool part of my house. Or paperwork and I avoid that a lot.

As a friend. Don’t do it again. :<)

Actually I feel fine now. Couple more bottles of water and I am back in the shop.

Nice bunch of the beautiful lumber you use. I like to cut only on cool damp days

Monte, glad to see you drinking lots of water out there.

Today is actually the 7th anniversary of my friends’ passing. He died at age 25 due to heat exhaustion while working a construction job on a hot, hazy, humid day.

No amount of work is worth an accident like that, be sure to work safe, take lots of breaks, and drink lots of water.
