All of a sudden I’m having a problem with the site. I tried to watch Stevemarin’s video and there’s no link to the video. No response from search button and My Lumberjocks, possibly more, is it me or what?

I have been noticing slow reactions at times to what ever I try to do on LJ. It’s as if the site freezes up momentarily. I can’t say if this is do to my computer or the site. It seems to happen mostly when I am returning after a long pause from being engaged with the site actively. I have remained online though out. In other words, I didn’t log off but returned after an hour or so and for a minute or two maybe three it seems very sluggish. I have just zeroed my drives and reloaded windows a few days ago so I doubt that the problem is with my computer. Who knows? Computers and web sites can sometimes be very strange beasts at times – pretty much like people I think. :)

I have notices some unusual delays recently and they could be due to the cyber attacks on sites related to the wikileaks thing “leaking” over to other areas of the internet.

Sigh…..

My goodness, Don, I hope that doesn’t mean we’re going to sink.

So that’s what the countersinks are for, to keep us from sinking. I’ve always wondered what I should do with them. Somebody once gave me a set of them and I put ‘em in my tool box figuring they might come in handy for something one day. I shall keep them ever so much more handy, now, and I’ll make it a point to call up my friend and thank him for such a thoughtful tool. Whenever I go out on a boat I’ll also keep one or two in my pocket as well. Thanks for the tip, Don. It never stops amazing me how much we learn on Lumberjocks. ;-)

Try clearing your cache and cookies and make sure that you have Java Scripts enabled. If you did a recent microsoft update, the settings could have been changed.
