Spent some nice quiet time in the shop yesterday hand milling a piece of 4/4 walnut and making some small 3/16” thick pieces of maple for some trivets in the works. I have been really trying to do as many things as i can with handtools and its a very rewarding experience. Just thought I’d share and post some pictures.

Great work Drew. One of these days I am going to have to learn to use a plane. I very seldom use one. I think it would be very rewarding to build something with hand tools. I often find myself reaching for the air nailer for just a couple of nails rather than using a good old hammer.
