I’m searching for a good 1/2 RO sander that will easily attach to a vacuum for dust collection. I’ve looked at the Festool, but it’s fairly expensive. Is it worth the extra money?
Can anyone recommend a sander that you’re currently using.
Thanks!

Last time I was trying to buy one the big box stores didn’t have any. I have a Bosch and a Makita. Both have holes in the base for dust extraction that works well but only the Bosch came with a plate that when you set the sander down on it and press it punches holes in the paper. I seem to like the Makita just a little more. The Festool would be a lifetime investment and may give better sanding but yeah the price! My Festool Rotax 150 is just amazing tho with it connected to the vacuum and using a downdraft table there is hardly any dust.

Studie, thanks for your input. I’ll check out both the Bosch and Makita. I would, like most, really like to have the Festoo but it’s really hard for me to justify that high price.
