Topic tags/keywords: question

I received a piece of wood today at a raffle. Not sure what it is. Looks a little like walnut but on the tag which was wore off it looks like Morrdi_Lo or Marrdi-Lo. Any help to the true name.

Hi rozzi

Wood magazine has a link to a site that provides photos and descriptions of wood species. KJP Select Hardwoods also has a very good link.

You should be able to find what you have.

I dug a little deeper and Morada is Bolivian Rosewood also called Mordillo. Hope that helps.
