Topic tags/keywords: walnut iil extra virgin olive oil french polishing

Walnut oil vs extra virgin olive oil both seem to be used when french Polishing. I am french Polishing a guitar with shellac and am wondering if there are advantages of using one over the other and when to use one over the other.
The guitar is rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top , mehogany neck and ebony peghead if the materials make a difference.
Thanks for any help and suggestions you can provide.

For your use likely only price is the difference. I only know them from the culinary perspective, and there are several olive oils cheaper than walnut
