Has anyone here got their older power tools sand blasted and repainted? Costs?

I am looking at getting my Grizzly TS G1022 sandblasted and then repainted the Grizzly green. Also would make quick work of rust on the cast iron top and wings etc. and it would look new.

Worth it to buy my own setup? Or is it troublesome?

Yes, but I do it myself. Blasting works great for the cast iron bits, but will leave you with a rough surface on sheet metal, like a cabinet… and on some, there is also the possibility of warping. For sheet metal, electrolysis is a better solution.

Cheers,
Brad
