Topic tags/keywords: doll house kit manufacturer question

Hi Gang, and Merry Christmas to you. I have been asked by a good friend to make a doll house for her granddaughter and I have zero experience with them. The only thing she has asked is for it to be made of wood and be scaled to fit a Barbie. I followed due process and checked out the houses made by the L.J.’s but did not get a warm and fuzzy about any of the manufactures. I’m pretty much sold on getting a kit and would appreciate feedback on who to go to and who to stay away from. The price range for the D.H. is under $300.00 not including my time so the field is pretty open. I am hoping someone has traveled this path before and can point me in the right direction. I promise to do a project posting with plenty of pictures :)
Thanks a bunch for any help you can provide.
Later,
Doug in AZ.

Hey Doug, Sounds like a pretty big order and very difficult to find a kit that size. Then again I’ve been wrong before. I might suggest making 2 low boy book shelves and hinging them together and using the shelves with dividers for walls and casters for moving it out of the way when closed. Thats all I can think of for a 11” doll. Hope this helps and you have a very Merry Christmas.
