Hello Jocks, I am looking for any serious collectors of Sargent planes. I am offering a chance to be the owner of a very rare Sargent Number 162 roughing plane, in excellent shape.

Sargent No. 162 Roughing Plane

Adjustable Iron Roughing Planes

Patented September 22, 1914. Please respond if interested, thank you, Clarkie.

Sorry Clarkie, I’ll pass. My Sargent interests are in the #400, #5400, #1400 Series planes.

BTW, Don, Casey, and I have a new Sargent Identification Guide (for the above) coming out shortly. We are currently proofing and eliminating typos and such. Keep an eye out if interested.

Hello Mike, ok, thanks for responding. This one belongs in a collection as there were only so many made.

Price range for the Sargent 162, taken from the Sargent plane page site: 162
Roughing Plane (Solid Casting)
$2500 to $5000…just not a plane that’s kicking around in your tool box.

Have your say...
