Topic tags/keywords: jig incra

Not sure if this is the right forum, but perhaps it will be a start.

I just received an Incra Jig and Incra Gage.

These are both the old grey ones. Anyone have and love these that would share some ideas on how to get the most out of them? It did not come with any templates or anything else, but looks like it came with all the screws and a few page manual describing how to attach it to a hold down, and make a fence for it.

I saw that video. It was great relative to the Incra gauge. It was partial motivation for me to get it in the first place.

I guess I am more interested in information on the Incra Jig itself. Most everything I find is about the newer LS stuff.

Here’s a scan from the box it’s mailed in. If you can’t read it I’ll email it to you. It’s a handy tool that I use on most projects.

Thanks, that’s awesome. So have you found any uses for it beyond the 4 or so described in the box/video?

I use it to mark edge lines mainly, I was using a combination square. I have used it to select stock for a project. I set it for the width I need and go through the stock and see what’s close.

Incra has a book with template strips for the jig which should be the larger one designed to have a fence mounted on it. I have one for my router table. Great joinery system. You can purchase the book either on Incra’s website or on Amazon.

Thanks, I will look for an Incra book. Do you think the newer templates would work with the older jig? If it is smaller perhaps the slot will be smaller too? IDK, but I do have an email out to Incra’s customer service. But haven’t heard from them yet.
