So I’ve been pretty busy lately in my shop and I haven’t had much time to write or comment either. Did I miss anything over the past 2 months? And how come theres no coffee lounge? I take it there musta been a big dispute? I have some good news by the way. Oct 9th was my 1 year anniversary seizure free since my operation :D . It went so well that the doctors in london (ontario) wanna put me in the news paper which is awesome. I can’t wait to get my copy. I miss bein around all the chit chat and the ol’ regualrs on this site. Anyways just tryin to catch up on things. Lemme know whats up. Cyas

That’s excellent news about your health. I bet that is a great feeling.

Coffee lounge quick summary: People weren’t getting along and didn’t handle it like adults so it got blew out of proportion. I didn’t follow a ton of it because it didn’t matter, but people wouldn’t drop whatever the issue was. To try to stop it all, the coffee lounge was closed since that is where it started I guess. It was travelling to the blogs and everywhere else though. There have been multiple people who have blocked each other and there are still new posts popping up about it (but not to the same extent as before).

Take care

hey pawky…thx. ya the operation was great…i had a blast until i woke up in pain (i was awake for most of the surgery) I also got to see my brain while they operated on it…so cool. but the pain was well worth it. Overall they took out 16 cubic cm of my brain…crazy eh? anyways pawky thx for the update, i’ll see you around.

wow, it’s amazing what can be done with medicine. Do you know what exactly it was they had to remove that was causing the seizures? I imagine it’s got to be quite a surreal experience to be able to see your own brain during surgery!

Glad to see you back, Mark. So, now that you have passed the 1 year mark, do the doc’s think it’s fixed for good?

Glad to hear your operation was a success! My daughter had a similar surgery where they took a baseball size round chunk of her skull out removed some bad sections of her brain. Been almost 2 years now and no seizures and she’s a new person. It’s amazing what the doctors can do. God bless you now back to work lol.

thx alot everyone. its just crazy whats happened in the past year living without seizures. I will post the paper article for sure.

Pawky: They had to remove my left temporal lobe (most of it) just to get to the hippocampus (which is where the scar tissue was) and they had to remove the hippocampus. I was born with that scar tissue and it got worse over itme. If I were to wait any long for the surgery, they said it would’ve made its way on the right hippocampus and then they couldnt do anything about it.

topamax: well the topamax is gone! I no longer need it. I’ve been off of it for about 8 months now. But it was hard getting off of it with the withdraws.

gary: being seizure free for one yr doesnt mean im automaticly seizure free for good, but from the doctors’ point of view its a success and they don’t believe there will be anymore. I was on 18 pills/day. They cut me down to 5/day and theyre keeping it that way for the rest of my life because they said 80% of the ppl who have been seizure free and taken on their meds had seizures relapse.

patron: i’ve been workin long hours with the current construction company I worked for. Layoff season took over though so now I’m gettin side jobs done and presents for xmas. and starting in january, i have a 2month term for trade school.

Everyone: Merry Xmas!
