I have an antique Oak table. I was wanting to get a rough time period. Someone told me the pieces were glued together then turned?? I can’t find a pic of it on flicker

Sight unseen I can tell you that glued up is a distinct possibility. I know this because there is an oak dining table in my family from the late 1800s which has legs which are made up of stock which was glued up and then turned. We can tell this by looking at the feet ends, where we can see the joints. This is one of those five-legged tables that expands to 10 or 12feet and needs the middle leg for extra support. Great for big family meals, though!
