I’m thinking Scary Sharp here.

There is a countertop place that is close to my house.

If you buy the MK II from Veritas(or develop some other “bevel keeper”) and some abrasive paper all you need is a flat stone.

As long as you have some time for me to dumpster dive and you will pay the postage I am pretty sure I can get you a stone.

Please PM me if you are interested. You will have to be patient if I get flooded with requests.

I appreciate the offer. However, the going price for plate glass is $12.00 per square foot. Yes, there is a risk of breakage but I mount mine on a plywood frame to reduce the risk. I doubt that you could ship counter top granite for less than $12.00 per square foot.

Thank you for the offer.

Whereabouts are you located? Your profile says near Albany, and I’m over in Syracuse. If you’re close enough, it might be more worth my while.

I’ve got a tempered glass, approx 18 X 24 inches, complete with aluminum frame, from Habitat for Humanity for $3. t was from a wrecked storm door. They always have 12×12 ceramic tiles with a nice flat face, for a buck or 2. It’s a very generous offer though, Cant! Hey, your avatar, is that from “1941”?

I’m in Albany as well. If you would be so kind as to tell me where this place is,I could do my own diving. Thanks!!
