Help – I need to replace the drive belt on my Delta midi (46-250). Per the owner’s manual I have removed the handwheel. It is now telling me to remove the wavy washer in order to drive the spindle shaft out. I have no idea how to remove that washer. Can anyone assist? I have called delta, and they have “elevated” my question, not sure when/if I’ll get a response. I have also called a local repair center, and struck out there too.

All is well. The diagram in the owners manual was wrong. The wavy washer was actually behind the bearing, so when I drove the shaft out (thru the housing/pulley assembly) the bearing on the left side came loose. When I took it out, the wavy washer was actually behind the bearing, not in front of it like the manual shows. What I thought was the wavy washer (and was trying to remove) was actually part of the bearing. Glad I did not force it. Five minutes later I was back up and working on Christmas presents.
