Hi,

I have a delta platinum contractors saw with a Benchdog extension router table with Incra lift. I am considering upgrading saw to Grizzly G0690 or G1023, but I have heard that the table wont match up height wise.

The Benchdog table is 1-1/2” thick and the G1023 has a 1-3/4” thick top, which means the bench dog extension would sit about 1/8” too low. However, the Grizzly lists the G0690 top at 1-1/2” thick. Does anybody have that saw and the cast iron Benchdog router extension? Will the table bolt up without having to modify the holes? Can anybody verify that the top of the G0690 is 1-1/2” thick? It seems odd since the saw is heavier than the G1023.

I really want to avoid elongating the holes in the Router table extension if I can.

Thanks

@seturner, have you found the answers? Did you purchase a saw? Which one? Have you outfitted your Benchdog? How did it go? Thanks

I have the Benchdog router extension mounted to my Delta contractor saw. The holes matched on it. If I were mounting it to a saw where the holes didn’t line up, rather than elongate holes on either piece, I’d consider drilling fresh ones. Particularly if they are elongated vertically, I would think that would make keeping the surfaces flush more difficult.

I love that router extension with the JessEm Mast-R-Lift installed. Like you, any table saw shopping I do in the future will revolve around what fits well with it.

Ryan,

I did find a used Grizzly 1023rl. I had to elongate the holes in the bench dog table extension to enable it to be flush with the saw top. This did not require much effort and was accomplished with a Dremel. It is mounted and other than having to watch my hand when I tilt the saw blade (so i don’t hit the router hanging below), it works fine.
