would a space bag work for venier press bag ?

I was looking into making a vernier vacuum press , I think that s what its called. I think space bags might work for inlay work with some wax paper . maybe not for laminate bending. what do you think ? The bags for one system was 80 bucks .

space bags work well on flat surfaces as long as your seal is good had some problems on curved items though.
