Am thinking about getting one of these as an upgrade to my Jet 1014 midi lathe. If you have one or have turned on one, would appreciate your feedback.as to likes and dislikes..

I used one at a turning class at my local Woodcraft store a couple of months ago. I only used it for a few hours, but what I saw of it, I really liked. The electronic variable speed was really nice. As I recall, it was kind of high, too, which meant no hunching over.

I have one. Just unpacked it and got it set up. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Very good quality, very heavy! Rock steady. I went for the 2hp one.

Don’t try to set it up by yourself!
