Topic tags/keywords: bottle stopper ca glue finish lathe I made my first bottle stopper and I did a high gloss CA finish and I kinda like it. I’m just curious about other ways to finish it to see if there are better/easier ways to do it. |

This might be a dumb question, but is it okay to apply poly to a piece while the lathe is on, or will that just make a horrible uneven mess? I assume just apply it normally. |

I just pour a little on a rag and touch the rag to the spinning piece. So far I haven’t polyed myself or the lathe ;^) -- Lew- Time traveler. Purveyor of the Universe's finest custom rolling pins. |

I use wipe on poly. I apply six coats, but not on the lathe. |
