Topic tags/keywords: reno sparks tahoe band saw joiner jointer nevada northern planer bandsaw router

Hey yall, first time poster here. I just moved to Reno and I’m looking to fill out my wood shop so I can get back to making furniture again.

I just scored an awesome deal on a brand new Delta 36-725 table saw for only $275, but what good is a table saw without all the rest?

Anybody out there in the Reno area with some tools lying around that they want to sell? I’ve been checking craigslist but figured I’d try here too.

Looking for a decent planer, 6”+ jointer, 14”+ bandsaw, router table or shaper (must be flat).

Thanks!!

Welcome to Reno. Surprising number of great & fantastic LJ folks here (like myself!).
I do have a Rigid 4331 planer (have since upgraded to a Jet 15”) that I keep around “just” incase.
I have one of those Taiwan clone 14” bandsaws with 3/4HP. Currently, my only bandsaw but may purchase a Laguna bandsaw in the next month so this currently Taiwan could be up for sale soon.
Gave away my Bosch desktop router table (RA1181?) and Rockwell 6” jointer for $100. Just missed that one :)
I also have a Delta 1HP dust collector motor & stand I picked up. Was thinking of using it in a mobile “finishing” cart/spray area but now I think I want a outside shed.

Hey thanks Holbs! Ive heard decent things about those Ridgid planers as far as benchtop straight-knife planers go. How much would you take for it? And please let me know if you get around to picking up that Laguna / and want to sell that Taiwan saw!

What part of town are you in? I just moved into the Wells neighborhood.

I’m out in Stead. The Rigid 4331 performed 100% and is a great lunchbox planer, as far as lunchbox planers go. If I didn’t gain a 15” Jet, I would still be using this Rigid all the time. Even added the Wixey depth gauge to it :)
Price? Will have to start PM’ing for that.
