Nice wood score! I’ll cut you some slack on the photos. They only prove you can copy and paste from the internet anyway…unless of course you are in the photo and a copy of today’s news paper. Call it the proof of gloat shot ;)

Personally, I don’t want to see the pictures because then I will just be jealous. On another group that I participate in, we use the word CONGRUDGULATIONS at times like this. We are happy for you and we want to congratulate you, but at the same time, we wish it wer us and not you that was being congratulated. So….. CONGRUDGULATIONAS!

Okay Rich – I’ll help you out a bit. I checked out the auction's web site . They certainly did have a good selection of lumber. So I can verify the lumber was up for auction – you’ll have to take care of the proof of possession ;) Sounds like you did well – Congratulations!

Finally up, drinking my espresso, from my machine, dreaming about the bandsaw. I realize that I do have the room for it. My wife noted we can move the upright freezer out of my space into the garage proper, because we can move the doors for the next remodel phase into some other storage space adjacent to my shop, that she has claimed. Maybe I ought to con her into simply moving the freezer into her space?

Then maybe I can start dreaming about a wood auction that I score on, and doc gives me CONGRUDGULATIONS, and Rich is envious of me and….......well….......you gotta have a dream.

Okay guys (and gals), here is a picture of the back of my truck. You will see a lot of shorter pieces but there are many longer pieces that run towards the front of the truck. Included is a box of cherry spindles that I have no idea what to do with but there are over 150 and it cost me $5.00. This is almost exclusively walnut, cherry and oak and I tried to emphasize cherry.

Did I tell you I paid a total of $47.50 for this (plus state sales tax of 7%)? Based on the way the truck rode, I estimate I have about 1000 pounds. At 5 pounds per bf, that implies 200 bf (i.e. less than 25¢ per bf).

Sorry ‘bout rubbing it in.
