Is there a trick to installing no mortise hinges and having the door aligned properly? They’re driving me nuts.

You can get the “adjustable” kind with slotted holes. Set the door on pennies for spacers and screw them home. It helps if you have access through the back of the cabinet.

I prefer euro inset hinges for fine furniture. They are easily adjustable and available in several finishes.
