I am putting together a set of blocks for my kids for Christmas. Mostly Red Gum and Ipe scraps from the shop. Does anyone know what finish would be best. My girls are 1, 3, and 5 so I have to be very careful. Everything goes in the 1 year old’s mouth.

you dont have to finish them but i would use mineral oil and let it cure for a week . mineral oil is used as a laxative and safe to drink from the bottle as a laxative
