Topic tags/keywords: question biscuit joiner finishing joining rustic

I have a couple of old pecky cypress boards that I want to use to make end tables. Does anyone out there have any experience working with type of wood? The boards have a lot of worm holes and tracks (not sure what you would call them). I also have questions as to how to finish the wood.

Thanks, Jim
