Topic tags/keywords: lathe

I’ve been bequeathed a Walker Turner Driver Line lathe and some Craftsman chisels. It’s the bench top model but, there is a stand for it.
Looks like a fairly new motor. I have no need for it. Come and get it.
I’m in Snowflake, AZ.
Please contact me by Thursday if interested.

Very generous. I hope we see what the lucky person who picks it up makes with it.

Hey guys, PAWPAWTEX would be a really great choice to get that lathe to. His shop got wiped out by a tornado recently and he’s between a big rock and a hard place. Just a suggestion but it would be a really good gesture to see that he gets it. He’s in Texas, and I’ll bet he’d appreciate it bigtime.

Thanks again Gene for the Lathe; We made it back home with no proplems. Got it unloaded and in the shop. Have a nice place to put it but decided to restore t before setting it up. A couple of things. #1 right now I can’t think of who it’s made by. Haven’t had time to do any research but thought it might be a Leigh. Also would like to thank your lovely wife for her courtesy Her and Gail would get along really nice. And Again what is the Model of your truck. I bought this Ford Ranger but need a bigger one and I really thought you had a nice looking one and a F250 really sounds like it would be what I’m looking for if I can find one about that year with low miles.
Thanks again and I you ever get a chance to get around Heber/Overgaard let us know you and yours would be more than welcome. And we would also have room for a stay over

You are certainly welcome.
It was made by Walker Turner. I think there’s a badge on it somewhere. From what little research I did, I think it’s pre WWll.
The truck is an 03, F250, V10 4wd Super Duty. She’s a beast. But , rides like a dream. 155k on the odometer. Gas mileage is horrible. 12 mpg empty. Wanna trade?

Thanks for the invite. Might head over for a visit sometime. Maybe on a Friday and we could all drive down to the Red Onion for Walleye.

Dawg and Howe, has a certain ring to it doesn’t it? I can’t believe you two live just about 30 miles apart, and your talking a stayover. The gesture is fine, I’m just finding it funny. Not trying to offend.
For those who have never heard of Snowflake, Arizona, they actually do get one every now and then. In December, 2005, traveling south from Petrified Forest, to avoid a blizzard near Showlow, I took another route that took me through Snowflake and actually had a snow flake hit my windshield. heheheeh….... Hi Jerry,
Good to hear from you.
How did that antler turn out?

We’re down your way often. Sons live there. Love to meet you.

Hi Gene, welcome mat is always out for a woodturner. Need at least 24 hours notice so I can get out of town.hehehe

Antler is still in the stage it was in at the end of the video. I’m trying to figure out how to mount it on the reverse turn. I probably should turn a tenon on it, and then there will be no issues in turning the face.. Come on down. My place looks like a haunted house, but the spirits living here are good people…....... No worries, Jerry.. I’m not a turner. I just like the products. That’s why Dawg got that lathe.

Don’t know when we’ll get down there again. Probably in a month or so.
We alternate bugging our sons. One’s at Alvernon and first. The other’s close to Bway and Houghton.
Either one close to you?

Neither one, but it’s close enough for a short jaunt. Somewhere between 8-10 miles. When you get ready to come out, let me know and I’ll give you my phone number. ......... Jerry (in Tucson)
