got a new band saw blade was checking the tracking and the blade stopped dead, a tooth was bent and stopped the blade. What should I do contact the dealer or straiten the bent tooth. thanks Mike

If it is just one tooth, I would straighten it. If it is more than one, I would send it back as defective.

If you don’t have a saw set you might
use a pair of needle nose pliers to bend
the tooth back towards the center. It doesn’t
have to be exact for just one tooth out
of line.

How can a bent tooth stop the saw? The teeth have to run clear of the guides. Sounds like the guides are not set correctly. The flat of the blade should be the only area in contact with the guides.

poor choice of woods, when I was moving the wheels by hand to check the tracking the blade stopped. the bent tooth was catching on the plastic table insert
