Well, Delta came through…. I got my check today.. for the swanky sum of ~$350… So now what do I spend it on :)... Table saw.. or bandsaw..

Oh and lest not forget: They even bothered to overnight it… Now if they could overnight their tails to come pickup this hunka junk..

I have Grandfather telling me :Table saw

I have my instincts telling me I like bandsaw(I like the safety.. of no kick backs, small, etc..

If I go BS: Should i save my money(well its on the Xmas list.. :) ) and get a 17”er.. or another 14”er..

But then the issue is: a 17” with no brake(Griz P series) takes 5min to slow down… one with a brake puts me way over budget…

Or I could just build my own… as one kid in my woodshop class did… Big arsed blade, big arsed motor, big arsed table, used for cutting pallets…

I have a 14” band saw, and love it. BUT… If I had the extra dinero to get one, I would grab the Grizz 17” with the brake…

For what it’s worth I rarely used the brake on the large bandsaw in the shop I used to work in. Only if I needed to change a setting on the saw which is pretty rare on a bandsaw. That being said, I would never pick a bandsaw over a table saw.
