Topic tags/keywords: wood furniture maple for sale

Hello All,

I usually don’t get into this kind of thing. I just could not help myself. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, being that it was so close to home. Thought I would share this good fortune with others.

I recently purchased most of the wood inventory from a major local furniture manufacturer that closed its doors and moved overseas. Included in this is a whole lot of maple turnings.

I would like to sell these parts as I do not have a use or space for them. The prices are super super low. Just want to clear them out. Must be at least 50 large boxes of parts.

Here are some photos. Keep in mind that there seems to be at least a hundred or more of each part.

There are also some longer turnings, up to 62” long.

Let me know if you are interested. Sorry, I cannot ship these.

I am in the Sacramento area, John

Don’t understand you want to sell but you don’t ship?

Time for a road trip…................... from Virginia. LOL! John, the one just below the tape measure, you could cut off the left end and sell as a Billy Club. Looks like some nice turnings at a good price. Too bad you won’t ship. :(

Realistically, if you have 50 large boxes at super low prices, you’re going to have to ship. I’d take some of the bigger pieces if you did. I wouldn’t mind if you just bundled them with pallet wrap, no box.

Add: I mean for me, the “billy club” in the center, and the ones with the big square segments, like the top and bottom pieces in the top picture.

GMman,

I have no problem of shipping. However, I don’t have the time to pack and ship small quantities. This was part of a large purchase and I would like to sell it all quickly and very very cheaply.

I will ship is someone wants to buy a lot of it. These parts are all in their boxes. The boxes contain anywhere from 35 to 150 of each piece. If someone wants to buy them all they would need a large truck. There are at least 50 boxes of parts. I will try to take some photos of the amount I am talking about. They are still at the building.

John, we need to get you into a program to help you deal with this wood problem you have. I will store your wood while you deal with this! If the snow levels keep me from getting back home on saturday, I may have to come help you out.

Robert,

You won’t believe the amount of wood I have accumulated since you were here last. Make sure you take the time to drop by. You are also welcome to spend some shop time if you like. Just let me know when you are coming into town.
I think I am up to around 18,000 BF

Hello All,

I finally got some time to go over and do an estimate (count) of what is what and how many of each type.

Overall there are about 1,000 pieces of the post and leg turnings, etc and about 3,000 bun feet.

About 4,000 pieces total. That comes to .50 per piece.

I am asking $2,000 for all of the boxes. That includes everything, Bun feet and all of the maple turnings. There a LOT of boxes. Like I said before, I don’t need these and would like someone to take them all. Might be worth a truck trip.

John why go buy something you don’t need and then try to sell it unless you’re looking for a large profit, or doing it to help other LJ members?

GMman, I had the opportunity to purchase all of the lumber and wood products and some very good tools from a local furniture manufacturer that closed its doors and went overseas. Part of this purchase are these maple turnings. I am just offering these for sale because I will not use them and thought I would see if anyone on LJs was interested. I think my price for all of this wood is extremely low. Not interested making a profit. I already have a local person interested in buying these turnings. I won’t offer any more stuff on LJs in the future.

Also, I don’t understand your interest in this offer but are not interested in buying?

But, one thing is for sure, I won’t offer any more stuff on LJs in the future.

John, Please reconsider offering to LJ in the future. From what you posted it was just unclear as to why you bought them and now want to sell them. You are very considerate in offering these w/o making a lot of profit.

I’m still interested interested in any that could yield me some 1.5” round stock at varying lengths. I’m guessing the 3rd one in the 1st pic that is mostly square would work for that. Or also the billy club and the beaded one just below the billy club. If that local guy does not need them all, please let me know. Thanks.

John don’t look at it that way the way you posted 1st it looked like you only had the wood like buy and sell but now that you say you got everything it’s a different story, to get the tools you had to buy all wood included.
Don’t stop selling for what I said, your deal is great and it’s hard to imagine the amout you have must be lots or else you would keep it for yourself.

Have your say...
