trans tint v/s analine dyes?

wanting to tyr my hand at some of the color fades i have seen what dyes are best i have a red and black trans tint and haven’t used them much and wanted to try a yellow orange to red fade what should i use and where should i get it?

Happy: I’ve just begun to get into using different dyes. I would suggest you get a color wheel and play with mixing various colors. My wife bought me a dozen canning jars so what ever I mix I label with what I mixed and the color. I only mix 2 oz of water based at a time(1/8 trans tint)
One thing I found out the hard way, I made a “quilt top box” out of maple and dyed the quilt pattern with a blue dye.(looked really good) I did not seal the dyed pieces and when I applied the poly finish it smeared. I would suggest sealing whatever you dye to eliminate this. I know I will. Good luck
