I am making a splitter for ts, does the splitter have to be the thickness of the blade? Splitter material is 1/32 in thicker then blade.

It’s going to be a little hard passing an 1/8th cut around a splitter that’s 1/32 of an inch wider. Splitter should be the same width as the blade.

gary,
take a looki at this product: http://ptreeusa.com/mjsplitter.htm

I installed that a few months ago and maybe it’ll help you. The installation was a snap and it’s just the right thickness and isn’t really all that expensive.

The splitter is (from memory), 0.001in larger than the blade on one side so that it actually pushes the cut off away from the blade but only by a small amount. It really does work nicely and I feel safer that things are not wandering back into the blade.

Good Luck!
