Howdy all…...

The stock fence on my table saw leaves a lot to be desired… …............I’m contemplating a new system.
Due to the slimness of my wallet…...i can’t afford a Beismeyer or Incra TS-LS fence….....I have narrowed my affordable fence choices down to 3…......

Vega U50
Shopfox G9220
Delta Unifence 50

I am soliciting comments, experiences, pros, cons or any other useful info concerning these fence systems from the LJ community to aid in my decision….........

Being the holiday sale time…..maybe I’ll find a super deal!

Thanks for your assistance.

I have a Vega fence, although it is the shorter model. It has served me well and I really like it.

The only problem I have encountered is that lately the micro-adjustment cam locking lever has not been locking solidly into place. Probably just an adjustment but I haven’t had time to check it out.

IMHO, the T2 offers the most bang for the buck of any, but I’m not sure if a 50” version is available as a stock item, though it wouldn’t be too hard to source some steel tube stock.

I’ve had a smaller Vega and Shop Fox Classic that I was pleased with. I think the SF is a bit more robust, but the Vega is a simpler installation.

I will add that the T2 is probably your best bang for your buck fence. I’ve only played around with one but I was very pleased.I am pleased with the stock fence on my Grizzly G0715 after i had waxed the rails.

Unifence should be a great fence from what I have heard from those that have them. I put a Delta T2 30inch
fence on my saw not long ago and it is a smooth operator, and holds adjustment very well.

Is the Unifence still being made? I’ve been using one for 10+ years, my favorite fence, though I know most people prefer the Bessy’s. I don’t know that it would be any less expensive though.

I have a vega u50 have had it for 10 years or more… I not recommending it here as i don’t have experiance with the other two you are compairing it to but it works well for me. Funny company and the web site is odd, they do not push their product it is simple and well made i guess they figure it sell itself…. need to find people with these fences and go play with them.

Come to california and you can see my vega.

I have a Shop Fox ( ) ... very happy with it. Easy to install, accurate, and rock solid.

quadcap, I too am a fan of the unifence. I particularly like the length and the fact that you can draw it back behind the blade to use as a stop when crosscutting pieces that you don’t want caught between the fence and the blade. I don’t know if any other fence does that. Anyone?
